ain't no cure for the summertime blues.

I already feel like it's summer, and I find it very sad. I will miss winter. I'm definately a snow-bunny.

Image by Peter Sutherland. (Can't remember where I found it...)

love that last one.

squawk out...

I just read possibly the best post the arab parrot has ever done. he's always interesting, always gets a laugh out of me, but this time I couldn't agree more with what he said. Inspired by the anniversary of Woodstock, have a read here.

lavender. pink thighs.

Of all the places I went on my round the world trip two years ago, I always thought NYC would be the last place I would return to. Not because I didn't like it, simply because I liked everywhere else more. But here I am, all booked to go back to the Big Apple over Halloween. And I'm actually really excited!

The black and white images are by Victor Jorgensen, Mark Hartel, and Matt Weber (respectively). Matt Weber has a whole bunch of other amazing NYC photographs - to see them, go to his website.

I love the grainy look you can get from film.

happy hippy weekend

This weekend marks the 40th anniversary of Woodstock music festival, so I plan on embracing my kooky side and busting out like this guy.

fresh folk, philosophy, & soul...

If you're excitement for the music on your ipod is waning lately, have a listen to the beautiful Georgia Potter. In her short 21 years, she has some incredible achievements under her belt, and has inspired many (including me). Her most recent achievement: being the featured artist on musicadium. To sample her (self-funded) mini-album "Living The Grey", and for tour dates and more information, head to her myspace page. You will be amazed.

"Pure, raw, explosive pleasure! Better than drugs, better than smack! Better than dope-coke-crack-fix-shit-shoot-sniff-ganja-marijuana-blotter-acid-ecstasy! Better than sex, head, 69, orgies, masturbation, tantrism, Kama Sutra or Thai doggy-style! Better than banana milkshakes! Better than George Lucas's trilogy, the muppets and 2001! Better than Emma Peel, Marilyn, Lara Croft and Cindy Crawford's beauty mark! Better than the B-side to Abbey Road, Jimmy Hendrix and the first man on the moon! Space Mountain, Santa Claus, Bill Gates' fortune, the Dalai Lama, Lazarus raised from the dead! Schwarzenegger's testosterone shots, Pam Anderson's lips! Woodstock, raves... Better than Sade, Rimbaud, Morrison and Castaneda! Better than freedom, better than life!"

then and now

My, my. Joseph is all grown up and I'm still crushing.

I remember admiring his picture on my bedroom wall when he looked like this:

Mark's middle name is.. uh... Rebecca!

I'm incredibly jealous of all the Blink 182 tour photos on the cobrasnake website right now. Rumour has it they are playing BDO 2010... for all the ladies in the heeeouse!

Have to go listen to the Mark Tom and Travis Show Album again...

TOM: What's up? I like your hair, it's very nice.
MARK: Oh, cool. You like his hair, he probably appreciates that.
TOM: Well I wanted to say I like your butt but I thought that was too forward.

super mario bake

I am stuck at work right now, and all I want to be doing is baking these! (Incidentally, if this is not enticing enough, you can find an entire haven of baking ideas and mouth-watering images at Bakerella).

Also, does one lead to the other?....

I don't think I will ever be disappointed..
